About Me

Greetings, I'm Charlie Neville!

I’m a Senior at Bradley University majoring in Game Design with minors in User Experience and Creative Writing.

I have made three games and a number of smaller games and prototypes where I learned different skills. I have also made this website you are viewing right now.

I have completed a number of classes at Bradley that have taught me many skills. At the top of the list is what I have learned in Unity. I have learned how to program and make games using Unity. I have also learned how to use Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver.

I have always loved playing video games all my life, but what made me want to create them was my imagination. Since I was young, I have been finding myself imagining my own stories based off of the video games I have played. Some questions I have asked myself are: What type of game do I want to make? What is the story and where should it take place? Who is the main character and what is their goal? What obstacles stand between them and their goal? What decisions would they have to make? The list goes on.

From there I would start building the world and designing the characters. I would design how the characters look and give them unique personality traits and quirks. Then I would think about how the player would progress through the game, the interactions they would have with other characters, and how they might feel while experiencing the game. I’ve done this several times and I have a lot of fun doing it, so why not try making that my career.

I play video games and watch streamers for the most part. I also dabble in writing stories from time to time.

Let’s team up for your next project!
