The Dispute

I wrote this to write a short story that was character driven. My goal of the story was to make it feel real, like this could actually happen to someone. My initial thoughts for the story was to base it off of the idea of exclusion and being alone. However I wanted the main character to have a close friend that could act as an anchor. This changed the story to be more based off the idea of two friends growing closer through a tough situation.

I wrote this to see what it was like to write a script. This was my first time writing a film script and I learned a lot from it. The writing style is pretty different from writing a normal story. The story is about a man who comes how after a small scuffle at a bar. It shows a normal, unnoticed day to day struggle of a man and his tendency to drink his problems away.
